Final blog post

My reaction to the end of the book is that the end of the book was really like vague almost cause like a all that he said was my father died and got rescued a week from when his father died. So the end of the book of the book was not good at all, but the book by itself from 1-10 I give it an 6 because of the ending. The ending really brought down the rating for me or else it would've been an 8 or even an 8.5. The whole setting of the book was really described well and the whole book was good but i the only two things that I didn't like about the book was that I don't think he really described the places he went to. It felt like he was moving too each different part of the story way too fast. Another part that didn't like was the part  about the ending which I already told you about. One part that I did like was when Mosihe described how the babies were thrown up in the air and were used for target practice. One major theme that was in this book was Bystander. Bystander was shown so many times i legit forgot the number, bystander was shown on page 111 when Ellie's dad was beaten for asking for some water from elie because he was sick adn elie just laid there not doing anything.

My final thought about this project is I thought I was going to love this project and blog all the time but it turns out that i really disliked this because i feel like we only have 2 weeks left why do we have to do this for our last weeks being a jjh student. The part that i really disliked was that we had to do like 3 blog post a week plus read and meet our deadlines or else we wouldn't get any response.Like I said we really should've just done something that was relaxing and not stressful. I Learned that in order to get people to comment on your blog you need to write more in detail. The reason why this project is important is that it tells us too instead of being a bystander be an upstander.

  1. Don't worry about the blog thing, you really did good on this post. You explain what you liked and disliked. I haven't read the book but i could tell what you were trying to say.Its really mest up how they were treated back in the holocaust. Especially how you say there were so many bystanders. Really good job! keep it up.

  2. I agree with you because I also did not like the ending of the book. Also It is pretty sad how he explains the death of his parents.Than I totally agree that the ending could of been better. Also the story was moving too fast from place to place.i find it sad how they threw the babies up in the air to use for targeting a place. Also one of the saddest part was when Ellie's dad was asking for water and got beaten.I agree with you it was really sad.Than I know it seems hard work but it is worth it because you get credit and your grade will go up.Than 3 blog post are really hard in a week but it is worth it.Finally I think your thoughts are really good and I agree with you in many thoughts.

  3. Wow. I was shocked to read that your favorite scene of the book was the part when the babies were thrown in the air and used as target practice. To me, it was one of the saddest scenes in the book. I couldn't imagine innocent children being killed in such a manner. I also wanted to mention that I kind of agreed with you about the ending. Although it has a deeper meaning, it wasn't something I would expect. I heard that the original draft was more than 800 pages, and Elie Wiesel had to include only the most significant parts of his journey. Maybe that's why you view the book as vague, but I thought it had tons of imagery and details. I also agree with your thoughts on how fast the scenes were changing. Again, I think it was partially because of how Elie Wiesel decided to incorporate only some events in order to make it shorter. Overall, I think this book was quite interesting, and I agree with most of your thoughts.
